October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to shine a light on an issue that impacts far too many lives. What many may not realize is how closely domestic violence and sex trafficking are connected. Abusive relationships and cycles of control often create vulnerabilities that traffickers exploit. At Wellspring Living, we see these realities firsthand—and we also witness how trauma-informed care helps participants find healing, safety, and freedom. Through our programs, cycles of harm can be broken, and new stories of courage can begin.

Earlier this month, we celebrated our Courage Gala at Flourish Atlanta, and what an incredible evening it was! More than  250 guests came together in unity, hope, and generosity and helped raise $675,000. I am truly grateful for all our sponsors – including our title sponsors, Delta Air Lines and UPS – for making this special night possible. Your investment fuels transformative care that brings light into darkness. And it was a joy to honor Nikki Morris with this year’s Courage Award. Her compassion and steadfast support reflect the heart of our mission and inspire us to keep pressing forward.

Now, as we enter the final months of the year,  we are turning our hearts toward the holiday season. For many survivors, this season carries unfulfilled wishes—of safety, of belonging, of a place to call home. This year, Wellspring Living is committed to helping fulfill those wishes, but we cannot do it without you. With your support, we can ensure that women and children in our care experience not only safety and stability, but also the joy, peace, and love of Christ this Christmas. You can make wishes come true here.

Psalm 34:18 reminds us: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” This promise is at the core of our work—and together, with your prayers and partnership, we can make it a living reality for every survivor we serve.

With gratitude and hope,

P.S. Together, let’s help make survivors’ wishes to heal and thrive come true this holiday season. Please make wishes come true here.
